The Parade of Homes just wrapped in Oklahoma City and local homebuilders did not hold anything back! I had the opportunity to team up with OklaHome Homebuilders to help them stage the porches of their beautiful black and white modern farmhouse!
OklaHome Homebuilders was my very first client when I started my marketing company almost seven years ago. Little did I know at the time that they would help propel me into the world of real estate by referring me to all of their friends in home building and real estate.
For years I created new home flyers, social media graphics, and postcards for all of OklaHome's gorgeous new builds. I also attended countless open houses which left me constantly daydreaming about owning and designing a beautiful home of my own. When I was ready to do just that, the OklaHome Real Estate Team sold our house!
Fast forward to 2021 and I've begun marketing a new kind of real estate - my own home! I still keep in touch with my friends at OklaHome and I was shocked and THRILLED when Jennifer reached out to me to ask if I'd be interested in staging the exterior spaces of their newest home for the OKC Parade of Homes. I immediately said YES!!
THE PARADE OF HOMES
The Oklahoma City Parade of Homes is a big freaking deal! Twice a year all of the home builders in the OKC Metro open their newest homes and allow the public to tour them. The homes are almost always decked to the nines with professional staging and the professional touches of interior designers. The parade is a great way for home builders to find new clients and homeowners to get a feel for all the different home builders and their suppliers.
OklaHome has mastered a very specific niche - the Modern Farmhouse. They are known for their large front porches, mixing new and vintage details, and the warm atmosphere they inject into every single home.

The Parade of Homes isn't just a fashion show of real estate, it's also a competition. A team of judges tours each home and awards homes based on things like the floorplan, staging, best in show and, here's where I come in, curb appeal!
CURB APPEAL GOALS
You know what they say, you never get a second chance to make a first impression, so it's crucial that during the Parade of Homes your first impression is WOW.
In true OklaHome fashion, this black and white modern farmhouse welcomes guests with a large front porch. OklaHome always builds stunning homes with warm aesthetics. This home may be black and white, but it delivers on warmth! It was clear the front porch needed to show off that aesthetic in all the best ways!
Being that this is the fall classic, pumpkins and mums were a must! I chose large natural bushel baskets and modern rattan planters to display the mums and add dimension. The natural textures fit in well with the modern farmhouse motif and also allowed us to introduce some color without overwhelming the neutral color pallet.
What's a front porch without a cozy place to sit and hang out? This rattan egg chair and dip-dyed jute pouf provide the perfect place to relax with a book and wave to your neighbors. The black and white throw pillows pull in the house's neutral color scheme while adding some contrast to the brightly colored mums and pumpkins.
This home won 2nd Place in the Curb Appeal category!
TAKE IT TO THE BACK
What's just as wonderful as a big front porch? A huge back porch overlooking a pool! This home is situated on a large corner lot with a big pool and space for a future basketball court. The back porch spans the entire length of the house with spaces for both lounging and dining.
We kept the staging simple with large pumpkins, a farmhouse table and metal dining chairs. The real showcase here is the pool and we wanted to create a space where visitors can imagine themselves hanging out and enjoying it!
Can you see yourself relaxing out here? I sure can! In fact, load up the sunscreen, I'll meet you there this afternoon!
LOVELY THE INTERIORS
My touch on this beautiful home stopped at the doors, but I absolutely do not want you to miss out on seeing the stunning interiors of this home. Here's a quick photo tour of some of my favorite spaces!
What do you think? What is your favorite detail of this home? Is it the stunning outdoor spaces or maybe the vintage details on the clawfoot tub? What about that gorgeous dining room with the 3/4 wall wainscotting? Leave me a comment below and let me know!
Until next time,
Jenna
